The earliest sign of the beginning of puberty is breast enlargement in adolescent girls. But it is not uncommon teens worry there is something wrong with the development of breasts.
Early puberty in girls is common in the age range 8 to 13 years. Dr. Aditya Suryansyah Semendawai, SP.A, in detikHealth article explains that the early signs of puberty in girls are a change in the breast.
“Breasts will look started to grow, like a small hill with the nipple (areola) wide. This was followed by growth of pubic hair, body odor, acne, high acceleration and weight,” said Dr. Aditya who is a pediatrician in RSAB Harapan Kita.
